Unless your mother dresses you, or unless you
have to wear a uniform, I think it's safe to say that the way you dress yourself,
always reflects on who you are and what you feel about yourself at any given
moment. It is the first message you give to the world around you and many
people do not realize the importance of this message. It is true to say that
it is your personality that counts and not how you choose to clothe yourself,
but given the choice and opportunity to exercise your own taste, it will ultimately
be your personality that influences your style of dressing. With the passing
of time, your personal style may develope as does your experiences, but underneath
it all, there will always be a constant core... you !
In relation to the many who's personality is
reflected in "the trendy" look, there are the few that prefer a different
message. A message that speaks more to and from the heart of dreams, imagination
and mystery, than the head of logic and practicality. It speaks about breaking
man made rules, daring to be different and turning fantasy into reality. This
is what I have attempted to say with my clothing and Nosferatu Fashion.
Incase
you are interested; this page is to tell you a little more about me. It is very
summarized so if you would like to ask anything, I would welcome your
e-mail
and do my best to answer.
I
grew up in East Germany, where things were pretty tough, especially for "Alternative
thinkers". Most of my school life was spent dodging class-mates who wanted to
beat me up, or take my money and lunch. Very few children were brought up around
me to tolerate different people and few teachers were motivated to care enough
to guide them, (or help me for that matter). The situation caused me to look
deep within my imagination and create a fantasy world, where I could escape
to. This world became my safe-haven where I could do or be anything I chose.
Soon
I came to realize that there were other people out there, who felt the same
way I did about life and who also had a great ability to access their creative
side in the form of art, poetry and music. Most of these people belonged to
the Gothic subculture and it was here that I found my closest friends.
When
it became possible for me to do so, I traveled to South Africa in order to learn
more.. I started Nosferatu Fashion in Johannesburg where there was a growing
need for clothing that put emphasis on individualism and freedom of thought.
Later, with the aid of the internet, I was able to expand Nosferatu Fashion
to beyond the boundaries of one country and soon established many clients in
Australia, The Far East, USA and even Europe.
